Spring Coaching Certification Courses

    Kanata Soccer will be offering the following OSA Coaching Certification courses this spring:   Enrolment is open to general public.   All courses will be held at our indoor fields at the Thunderbird Sports Centre, 1927 Richardson Side Road.  <map>

    Youth: No spaces available.   Waiting list in effect 
    Prerequisite: Children’s Clinic (Must provide
    proof of completion of the prerequisite course)
    April 19, 8:00 - 6:00, with a working lunch Roy Hillier $115
    Senior: No spaces available.   Waiting list in effect.  Prerequisite: Youth Clinic (Must provide proof of completion of the prerequisite course) April 26-27, 8:00 - 6:00, with a working lunch Rick Erickson $185

All partipants must be 16 years of age on the date of the course.  There are no exceptions.   The OSA will not recognize the certification level if the participant does not meet the age requirement.

About the clinics:

  • Bring a lunch - you'll be working through.

  • All coaches will be asked to participate in soccer drills, so dress appropriately; tracksuit, soccer cleats, etc.

Registration form You will not be added to the list until we have received your application form and payment.

Your cheque will be cashed if, and only if

    1. You are enrolled as a “non-KS coach”.
    2. You fail to attend the course, and therefore do not obtain the certification.
    3. You do not volunteer as a head coach or assistant coach for Kanata Soccer during the
      2008 summer season.

The intention here is to make the courses “free” to volunteer Kanata Soccer coaches.

This year all coaches of children in the following programs will be required to obtain their Children’s Certification:

  • 7 and Under Development League and Academy
  • 8 and Under Academy
  • 9 and Under House League

All coaches of children in the 9 and Under and 10 and Under Academy will be required to obtain their Youth certification.

All coaches of children playing in the East Region Soccer League will be required to obtain their Senior Certification.

All Recreational level team head coaches are encouraged to obtain their Children's Coach Certificate. 

Drop off your form and payment:

anytime between 9:00 am to 11:00 pm 7 days a week at the Kanata Soccer Office, located on the second floor, Thunderbird Sports Centre, Home of Kanata Soccer, 1927 Richardson Side Road.  There is a mail slot located in the counter at our second-floor office.

Office hours are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday evenings

Or fax your registration form to 613-836-7650.    Payment can be made online. Please put the date of the clinic for which you are registering in the invoice number field, ie <Children's April 12>. 

 

Preference will be given to Kanata Soccer Coaches.   Your registration will not be confirmed until we receive payment.
