Dear Coaches, 

Kanata would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back to the 2008 Kanata Indoor Showcase Tournament being held in the nation’s capital of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  This tournament remains the only indoor soccer showcase tournament to take place in the Ottawa area.   Kanata Soccer will be holding competitions for girls born in 1991 and 1992.

The tournament will once again be held in the Thunderbird Sports Complex, Home of Kanata Soccer with games being played on a 210’ x 100’ state-of-the-art Omni Grass turf field.  The Showcase tournament will consist of a round robin play format followed by semi-final and final competition.  Teams will play six a side (including keeper) in two 25-minute halves.  Factors that will be considered for team acceptance will be as follows:

·             2008 League Standing
·             2008 Provincial and/or National Ranking
·             2008 Tournament Success.

Again, the success of last year’s tournament saw numerous players from all of the participating teams receiving notice from various National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) academic institutions.    This tournament is designed to provide an opportunity for elite athletes born in 1992/92 to display their talents in a highly competitive and intense environment.  The Kanata Indoor Showcase Tournament intends to present highly motivated and dedicated players who wish to further their soccer careers and education at an accredited institution.  It is our objective to facilitate efficient communication between athletes and University coaches.
